Chair or Sculpture Art by Maximo Riera

Rhino and Octopus Chair

Spanish artist Maximo Riera has designed 'octopus chair', a limited edition piece that is part of a larger collection entitled 'animal chairs'.  the series consists of more than fifteen different works where the marriage between furniture and animal is the main component.

choosing the chair based on its banality in our everyday lives, the series looks to bring life to the basic function of the object, making it more present while creating a stronger connection between the spectator, the chair and its environment.

Wonderful Chair design to Illuminate your terrace by Kaare Bækgaard

Terrace Chair is Illuminating

Outdoor furniture usually follow a limited number of existing conventions. The Terrace Chair is an attempt to go outside the rules or define a new convention: While being instantly recognizable, it looks somewhat different from what you would expect to find in your home & garden center. The bulk of the chair is rotation moulded in polyethylene with a base of stainless steel and requires little maintenance – just leave it out all year and give it a wash now and then. Connect a low voltage cable to the bottom of the base and the chair will glow invitingly. Designer: Kaare Bækgaard

Design where you never will come out!!

Cradle for Adults

Why should babies have all the fun? We all like to feel comfortable and secure. The chair provides a safe, relaxing environment to anyone looking to escape the rigors of a 9-5 life. The entire piece is flatpack ready and all materials are sourced from environmentally friendly resources, right down to the glue that binds the initial plywood layers. And to make the relexation compleet a lunch box to provide everything you need to never come out. Designers: Richard Clarkson, Grace Emmanual, Kalivia Russel, Eamon Moore, Brodie Cambell, Jeremy Brooker and Joya Boerrigter

Never Before
Seen Hans Wegner Chair
The man behind the Papa and CH445 wing chairs designed a chair that hasn’t seen the light of day until now. Carl Hansen & Son is now launching a brand new chair designed by Hans Wegner over 50 years ago called Oculus. The chair was discovered when they found clay models and pictures of the chair in the Hans Wegner archives. At one point, two prototypes were made but only one was found. There is something very Wegner-esque about the chair; its sculptural back and rounded silhouette seems to have his signature all over it. The chair has brushed steel legs and an upholstered body on a wood frame.
