Victoria Spruce, art or design!

Today post is about shoes. You never can get enough of, always there is a special shoe that you hat to have! And today is all about that! First I start with Victoria Spruce. She made sculptural shoe designs that gross the thin line between art en design. I really want to try a pare, and tip towing to the night throwing ferry dust all over town feeling like the star of the n...., Owh, lost it for a minut... Some shoes will do that to you.

Spruce graduated from the Royal College of Art this summer and started her collection of footwear. a combination of shiny plastic shells with traditional leather soles. The moulded uppers twist and fold around the wearer’s foot and into the heels. Giving a twisted view of balance and perspective. This year there ware also to see on the London Design Week and get a view heads turned, mostly woman I can say.

The 2 designs underneath are slightly in a different corner. They are more aggressive in style and colour. Have to say don't mater to me I truly love them all. Only one wish.... wearing them!! Dream on girl! Enjoy!

Fashion Design: Glitter Pump by Miu Miu

Miu Miu Glitter Pumps - Fall 2011

And this is also a shoe to remember, a special shoe! We all (I hope) remember the one-and-only red glitter shoes from 1939's The Wizard of Oz. The infamous ruby slippers. Made true time in a form of Art and have inspired many shoe designers and will be! Like the glitter shoe from Miu Miu, for this Fall. Real exited about this shoe. The heel to me, is a well designed pillar for perfect balance. This will make a easer bridge than the shoes from Julian Hakes or Victoria Spruce. But not to say, not appealing enough, there you wrong. I just want them for a more romantic reason, broken hearts lots of singing and of course HOME! Enjoy!

The famous Ruby Shoes will be up for auction the 16th of December. Believed to have been worn by Judy Garland herself, found by a costume department worker int the 1970's and still in Ming vintage condition. The pair will be auctioned as part of a Hollywood Memorabilia sale. Only the pricetag maybe! There expecting the bidding will be between €1.5 and €2.25 million for the pair. I stick to the glitter pump from Miu Miu and just keep clicking away to find home. That will do!

Fashion Design: Architectural Shoe by Julian Hakes!

Julian Hakes, Fashion or Architecture!

This shoe from award winning architect Julian Hakes is another example of the thin line between design and art. And in this case between design and architecture. You good see the similarity between the designs from Victoria Spruce, but there is something else with design from Julian Hakes. Looking at the soleless 'Mojito' heel with the knowledge of building and the forces that you have the consider with constructing a bridge (for example) are not far away seems from designing a shoe. The 'Mojito' shoe are designed with to pillars, the front and the heel of the shoe, and your foot naturally forms a bridge between the two. on believable clever! As Hakes himself worded; “most simple, elegant yet poetic expression of the forces at play within the materials used.”

Soleless Mojito

The designer takes minimalism to new heights with his futuristic way of constructing, Beautiful and so sophisticated and that is what Fashionworld has seen to. The next generation of the Mojito have made its debut at the London Fashion Week. The Mojito was shown at the Spring/Summer collection by Swedish designer Ann Sofie Back and with London designer Ada Zandition's. Sustainable? This remains to be seen, but in the interim, the anticipation is off-the-charts contagious. Enjoy!
