And what else do we neath in the kitchen, After all the cooking and eating there must be some drying involved pretty soon. And of course in style done! This wasn't so hard to find. Directly floating on the trend Biology and Anatomy, at the moment. a Theme I really can relate to en like the designs that are evolved to used a bit more! There are the non-creepy skeletons covered tea towels from Bon Matin. Looking like the old panels on the wall in schools in the older days. The give not only a dry service but also a leasson in Biology. a A+ Design to me. Enjoy!

When there eating is there must be plaits, and what a better design than this can we choose. This wonderful design by Stefan Sagmeister together with Jessica Walsh selected 14 subject, representing the seven deadly sins and seven virtues. For example, for the bee industry, but also lush breasts for pleasure. a Delicious contrast to the elegant glass. Originally the design 'The Legendary no. 248' belongs to Adolf Loos and is made by Lobmeyr. Driving on the realistic and macabere trend like Necromance, this is also material for discussion. Is this apropied or not. I say YES! Eating in style and sure of a good table confersation.... I'm in! Enjoy!

Yet another great design, Mare Tranquillitatis by Shiro Studio, a minimalistic design with a natural feeling to it, and made on the idea, to apply the lunar craters analogy, where every intersecting concavity is metaphorically carved and so placed. Made of marble, makes this design swift and smooth, but most of all, super useful to. Beautiful and functional and al with a thought, bigger than any crater you will find! Enjoy!

Laurence Brabant: Ombilic glass fruit bowl

The French designer Laurence Brabant has designed the 'ombilic' glass fruit bowl. Something so simple and yet not expected. Bravo for your thoughts I say. Really love it's ingenious concept. Because the glass container offered various sized open centres to accommodate fruit as apples, pears, oranges etc...so you can modify the appearance and height of the glass bowl. I'm thinking vegetables as decoration. I love it. I hope you too! Enjoy!

Elegant Glass by Vasiliy Butenko

I like it in design and in art if there is a little surprise involved. Something got your eye, quite subtle but never the less a bit part of the design. Like this Slice Glass concept created by Vasiliy Butenko. Giving it a strange perspective and makes the liquid look as if it’s floating inside the glass. a Sophisticated look I think because of the simplicity of the design. a Wonderful detail in your kitchen, obvious in mine. Enjoy!

A Well Balanced Knife

For cooking and a lot of other jobs, the rule is; The equipment is have the job, and true in my mind. for example take a knife, the way your holding it and cuts is essential for the type of food your cutting. This Chef knife by EMAMIDESIGN looks like it cuts to enything and indead 'Sharko' the knife holds a unique, charismatic form, which suggests to the viewer sharpness but also durability. Made with a ergonomic handle to fit comfortably in the hand and makes cutting so easy. a Super comfortable Corian handle, means you can rock through fine chopping, mincing, and straight cutting.  Sure to be a kitchen workhorse. Just a big intro (mainly for me, this is all the more reason to buy one!) Enjoy!

Dancing Cups

It's getting darker an colder in Holland, time to retread and settle you self on the couch sipping tea or making a warm and wonderful meal in the kitchen. All do to this time a year. And to do things in style I have gettered surprising designs to use in the kitchen (that is not a rule). Wonderful glass work and knifes, what will we do without it! Design with a + to me!

And thinking of design and drinking tea, what a pleasure it will be, to drink it out of the 'Ballare' cup designed by Yury Dovganyuk. a Russian designer made a series of ceramic drinking cups with a twist… literally. 'Ballare' meaning dance in Italian is inspired by a dancer’s movement, the elegant cups appear to do a pirouette before your eyes. Almost too pretty to drink out of! Or not! Enjoy!
