IPhone dail camera lens case

Earlier I showed you a two way camera app for the IPhone. A new accessory Photo of Jojo's has not two but tree options to use. They made a turning case complete with tripod mounts, the iPhone case features wide angle, telephoto, and fisheye lens on a rotatable dial.

The three lenses are suitable for any specific photo opportunity. The telephoto lens to photograph something distance and make your landscape photos with the wide angle lens. The fish eye allows you to shoot photos with distorted lines. Because the lenses are ajustable with a case you still can make your photo with your favorite app. Do you have a tripod, than you can strap and keep your iPhone in portrait or landscape mode.  Which IPhone its support the case is unclear, but in pictures, only the iPhone 4 and / or iPhone 4S are displayed. Price JoJo lens $ 250,-- (€ 185,--).

PhotoPen: vrij tekenen op de IPhone-foto's

PhotoPen is een nieuwe app waarmee je op afbeeldingen kunt tekenen. Dat is reuze handig als je bijvoorbeeld een route wilt tekenen of op een foto iets wilt benadrukken. De gratis app gebruikt foto’s uit je camerarol of geeft je de mogelijkheid om een nieuwe foto te maken, om te voorzien met cirkels, vierkanten, vrij getekende vormen of een soort watermerk met datum en omschrijving.

Het is alleen mogelijk om met een rood gekleurde pen te tekenen. De ontwikkelaar heeft daarbij een wat flauwe truc bedacht: in de iTunes-omschrijving staat dat als je meer penkleuren wilt, je een 5-sterrenreview in de App Store achter moet laten. Maar zo perfect is de app nu ook weer niet… iPhone

Tiny Review: fotopoëzie op de IPhone

Eén foto zegt meer dan duizend woorden, luidt een bekend gezegde. Maar wat zegt één foto met daarop drie regels tekst dan? De iPhone-applicatie Tiny Review is net zo goed een recensie-applicatie zoals we er de laatste tijd al meer bespraken, als een soort Instagram met een twist. Een bericht dat je op Tiny Review zet heet officieel een recensie, maar kan elke mededeling zijn van drie regels op een foto. De beperking van zo weinig tekst levert bijzonder spitsvondige creaties op. Het lijkt een vorm van poëzie, om een kleine hoeveelheid tekst zo krachtig mogelijk naar voren te brengen op een foto. iPhone

Zet IPhone-foto’s op je iPad met speciale usb-kabel

Een nieuwe kabel voor de iPhone en iPad maakt het mogelijk om de twee apparaten aan elkaar te koppelen. Op deze manier kun je makkelijk een foto gemaakt op de iPhone kopiëren naar een iPad, om hem daar op een groter scherm te bekijken en bewerken. De kabel is hierdoor een handig alternatief voor iedereen die liever niet iCloud’s Fotostream gebruikt. iPhone

Rotterdam Designprijs: op je iPhone stemmen voor het beste design

Vandaag verscheen de nieuwe app Designprijs in de App Store. De app is vanaf vanmiddag 17:00 uur te gebruiken en geeft je de mogelijkheid om te stemmen op je favoriete genomineerde voor de Rotterdam Designprijs. De genomineerde maakt kans op de Premsela Publieksprijs van 5.000 euro, die overigens pas op vrijdag 12 februari wordt uitgereikt. Het is de elfde keer dat deze prijs wordt uitgeloofd aan goed design. iPhone

The Next Ten: papieren boek met bijbehorende iPhone-app

The Next Ten is een papieren boek dat gecombineerd moet worden met een speciale iPhone-app. Door je iPhone in het boek te schuiven krijg je tijdens het lezen informatie op je scherm die perfect aansluit op de content van het boek. In The Next Ten kijken een aantal Nederlandse innovators naar hoe de komende 10 jaar er uit zullen zien. Helaas is het boek (nog) niet te koop. iPhone

D'SIGN Weekly App: Norton Simon Museum

Museum in Pasadena, USA

The Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena (California, USA) recently launched a new app for the IPhone. This museum has works by Raphael, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Monet, Cézanne, Degas and Picasso from the private collection of Norton Simon (1907-1993) in the collection. With this app you can view different work from the museum and here and read more about these art works.

The great thing about the free app from the Norton Simon Museum is, that works not only in name of the artist are catalogued, but you can also search within a certain period (divided into centuries). Another great feature is that you can go straight to the (free) download podcasts of the museum in iTunes and download the podcasts for free. This way you can still learn more about the museum and its collections. It's also nice to put in a random number for the audio tour. At number 129 you get information about a work of Canaletto for example. The app works also excellent on the iPad and is here free to download for both.
