Still not cheap but what do you get for your 5,5 euro's. a Lot, if you think you’ve seen the periodic table before, this is beyond what you could imagine. The Elements is a visual exploration from a hardback book of The Periodic Table with immense descriptions of all the 118 elements. The complete hardback book is included as an app with so much detail and information that couldn’t be possible as a simple ibook. This visual exploration let you experience the beauty and fascination of the building blocks of our universe. And as the first really new ebook developed from the ground up for the iPad, The Elements beautifully shows of the capabilities of this device.

It is impossible to describe in words the experience of seeing and almost feeling over 500 examples of the chemical elements in virtual form. Wonderful real-life examples for every element known to science; from helium neon lasers to antique apothecary sulphur. 3D models enable you to visualise the crystal structure of each element and can even be seen in stereo 3D using glasses. Every one of these objects can be spun around to see it at any angle in a 360 degree view, with a simple sideways swipe of your finger. Besides the images there is a column of facts and figures with each one tappeable to bring up rich details and current information about these elements using WolframAlpa. You can double tap any object to bring it up full screen to really examine the highly detailed objects. Plus some elements have video clips of experiments showing the properties of the elements.
